There is no shortage of top food events in Chicago, but tickets often cost a pretty penny and not everyone is able to go. But now Chipotle is launching Cultivate Chicago to give anyone access to great food and a good time. The all-day free-admission event, taking place in Lincoln Park on Oct 1, will feature an array of top local and national chefs cooking while cool indie bands perform on various stages.

Details: Ferris Bueller's Day Off is one of Chicago's most iconic movies so what better way to enjoy it then in one of baseball's most iconic ballparks? On October 1st, Ferris Bueller will be screened at Wrigley Field to celebrate the film's 25th anniversary. Guests are invited to picnic whiling watching the film on three 30 ft screens set up along the infield. If you're in your seats by 7 p.m. you can attempt to top the world record for Most People Singing in the Round by taking part in a rendition of "Danke Schoen".

Details: This fall, the Backyard Film and Music Fest returns to the proverbial backyard of Northsiders. After a year on the far South Side, the fourth installment of this event will take place on Saturday, October 1st at both the Wicker Park Art Center and Viaduct Theater.A number of changes were implemented this year, including the addition of a film panel. The film set, scheduled from 2 to 6 p.m. at the WPAC, will feature short films from both local and international artists.Patrons will also have access to premium libations and several of Chicago's hottest food trucks throughout the day.The Festival will also feature the premiere of Chicago band Judson Claiborne performing original material to a 1942 silent documentary. The film features two explorers traveling from Fairbanks to Seattle by motorcycle, at a time when no roads existed in the area.Entertainment will resume at the Viaduct Theater for a 9 pm showcase of artists, including San Francisco singer-songwriter Bhi Bhiman, New York (by way of Pittsburgh) Wise Blood, who recently declared their intentions to take over pop music, and Chicago hip-hop group BBU.Winners of the film set will be presented throughout the evening.
